Quick remote camera post

I have been very backed up with a slew of 2nd edits of the many events from the past several weeks. As I sit here editing I thought I would throw up a quick example of the remote I ran at the last Philadelphia Union game I shot. I still need some work on it but I really like it. This what a moment looks like caught from two different angles.

Rain Soaked Game

I shot the match between the Philadelphia Union and Chivas USA on 7/12/13. There was a driving rain for the entire game (that ended as I was walking to my car to leave). I've shot in rain and snow before but this may have the worst conditions I have seen. The rain was so heavy that it made focusing difficult. The auto focus would lock onto raindrops between the lens and the players.  It made for some interesting shots. Here a few from that game. Oh the Union won the match 3-1. Hopefully if weather permits I'll run a remote behind the net at this weeks game vs. Portland. As alway feel free to comment. Until next time.....

More Major League Soccer

Ok, admittedly I am bad at posting to this blog in a timey manner. I have been shooting MLS soccer and a few NFL events lately. I can’t wait for the NFL season to begin. Training camp starts in late July and I will happily be shooting for the Eagles again this season (should be interesting with the new coaching staff/system). Here are a few shots from a couple of soccer (or football for those outside the U.S.) games I shot recently. As always feel free to contact me with comments, questions or suggestions. Until next time….

Here I go.

I have been shooting MLS Soccer for USA Today Sports Images this season. As a result I am going to be posting images I shoot for USA Today here on blog. I guess this is a good thing since I needed to be forced into the "blogisphere". Perhaps I'll learn some new things here and maybe drum up some business (never bad). Maybe I can help some of you out there by sharing my mistakes (of which there are many). Feel free to give me a shout with any suggestions, questions or just to let me know what you think.

The last game I shot was the Philadelphia Union vs. Seattle Sounders at PPL Park in Chester, Pa. They played to a 2-2 draw. Here are a couple of shots from that game. (Ok maybe more than a couple)
